Chris Cuzme
tenor and soprano saxophones, didgeridoo, exotic flutes & pipes Chris is currently graduating William Patterson University with a degree in jazz performance and was the 2nd jazz musician at Interlochen Arts Academy to receive its highest honor "the young artists award". He was also selected for downbeat magazine’s spotlight feature of outstanding new jazz musicians. Along with Jazzheads, Chris has recorded or performed with Rufus Reid, Fred Wesley, James Spaulding, King Britt, Larry Coryell, Norman Simmons, and Roger Humphries among others. His current projects are wide ranging in scope and include the straight-ahead vibe of the High Five Quartet, the Archie Shepp-inspired Rochat-Felix Quintet and his own funky horn section for hire ‘the Tonal Evangelists’. His latest project is an improvisational experimental global quartet ‘Om Dom’ set to make its debut later this year.
