ursula's theatre-esque show for the divine woman perfomances was very different utilizing the stage and lighting and dance featuring heidi cruz and myself creating the music...a very interesting night...a new creature is born...this is an unique experience with much room to grow...ursula's new album silver or lead is now out on k7...check it out.

a interesting but strange reunion of the fractal ark on wednesday night with myself, dj jolah, barry meehan, mark boyce and elliot levin...we didn't get all the stages off before we had to back up some mc's...so twasn't really the reunion we hoped for.but, nevertheless, good to get back together and feel this wobbly music again...more to come for sure.

just back from 4 days in the camden area of london where we played a very wicked special show at the jazz cafe. all gear functioned perfectly thankfully for an enthusiastic sold-out audience and blessed with incredible sound by jc in-house sound engineer kevin...it was a busy week bustling around london to robert elms bbc london show with a live performance of 'time'...then on to a lengthy soundcheck and back later for our show which featured many new tracks that we hadn't performed live before from ursula's new album silver or lead...many highlights and re-arrangements as per usual
but based loosely on the album:: this (with beating heart via mpc2000), soon (featuring my first attempt of playing piano on my digital guitar to astounding effect), untitledflow (some folk-hop for the masses), and 2blues track - brainstream. ursula and i were at one of our highest moments of live performance here and the BBC was on-hand to record the entire show for an airing later this year. aftershow: met many wonderful folks...especially enjoyed watching the BBC engineers crawling around my gear to see how i was getting all those different sounds... eventually, after packing up, i took to the streets of london for some site seeing through soho, tralfagar square, downing street, big ben, the houses of parliament, and a wonderful sunrise on the thames near the milinium wheel...an hour cab ride back to hotel for 1 hour of sleep and then off to the BBC to record three acoustic tracks for the radio show the breeze sessions...further bustling around london afterward...to puma headquarters...then off to a guy called geralds flat where ursula recorded a new track for his upcoming release...back to hotel for some sleeeeep finally...but the lack there of was well worth it...brilliant as they say.

barcelona, spain @ BAM festival

an amazing flight into barcelona via paris france to avoid the hurricane decending on the east coast of america...weather here is spectacular...but i'm wiped so off to bed at the H10 for a few hours...the rooms are moderne with 2 way view of the city.....and then to exploring barcelona with salvadore from k7 our host for the night...beautiful!!...salads, fondue, wine,
etc...discussions on the fate of the music industry,
mp3 - a choice - then on to the festival - checked out
Spacek - nice show - drummer was amazing - hung out and met everyone after show...then back to HOTel for more rest....on saturday toured around barcelona but were, unfortunately, unable to check out any Gaudi architecture...but, hoping for next
time we are back in November...so...on to soundcheck:::: i was freaking out because various cables were not functioning and my air efx unit was broken...lots of mayhem and sweaty palms, but finally everything came together. after check hung out with none other than the Mad Professor (neil frasier) who most notably remixed MassiveAttacks Protection album...we had a blast talking about recording and studios...etc.....back to hotel for chill, change, beverage, and food in H10 bar....off to show. just before we went on stage, i told Ursula lets just go up and have a great time...unbeknownst to me there were 20,000 barcelonians in front of the stage...we Rocked this show!!! one of our best performances...and the audience was with us! i will not forget this show anytime soon...one burnt in the memory banks....after us lee 'scratch' perry with Mad Professor and robotics took the stage for some amazing dub experiments....until they blew the soundsystem sometime 90 minutes into their set....afterwards couldn't leave due to the overflow of people...finally back to hotel @ 4am...for 3 hours of sleep until we have to leave for brussels...just incredible insanity here....i must say i blew it by not bringing my video cam down to the show...too many amaZIng foto ops...............more to come......
