NOTES FROM THE ROAD

krass bros. live at silk city....last night was a loud
noise from us...shrapnel and shards of octavia drenched guitars, jacked out wah pedal, feedback
blooze, funk, blownout b-3s, enough bottom end to shake your brainloose...and all with an unrelenting rapturous drum assault...40 minutes later it was over...we found a place in all this high volume energy and we rode it...a few clams...but mostly success for those who could stand the intensity and roar of the great noise it was...personally, this was an area of sonic experimentation for me deploying various treatments of fuzz, octavia, boosters, and amp feedback....a rare place for me to be...but a whole other world...the drawbacks: severe ringing in my ears...a hangover from the loudness...for the audience: they got what they wanted. they revelled in their drunken excitement stumbling around the dance floor...the life of a musician continues...

late last night finished yet another remix collab with king britt...this time a remix of everything but the girl and the classic rollercoaster...it received quite a makeover...a bit darker...lots of synths, cocteau-esque guitars, and the scuba beats!....another highlight: king asked me to sing some backing vocals as a sort of bed for the guitar solo...and i must say it turned out quite nicely...not a bad day when you get to share vocal duties with tracey thorne!!!! an honour.
