a wonderful crisp blue sky new york day....up in nyc
to hear some world premiere spins of new remixes
that i've recently completed with king britt at cielo...
but early on...checked out the 'new' MOMA...very
inpiring...amazing architecture...enjoying being in
nyc again...it's been awhile...saw a strolling vincent
gallo on 5th avenue...checked out the amazing iranian vocalist sussan deyhim...incredible night with will calhoun(drums)...later to 55bar w/wayne krantz....met pat metheny group drummer antonio sanchez there....it was drummers nite there as anton fig, jojomayer,steve from manhattan transfer, and others were there...only in nyc!!! then on to cielo...and home by 5:30am...tonite the MOOG movie at rotunda....then back to the studio.

typing away in my new update area by phil gracie of
triagency...been continuing to be busy with new
songs and remixes...collab with ellie perez, king
britt, and myself has produced the beautiful 'la vida'
ellie sings in spanish on this one...she being
cuban...what a vibe...soon to be released...also,
yesterday finished the chic remix of warm summer
night....beautiful...nile rodgers and company with
chuck treece on 'the history of dance' bass, me on
spanish guitar, and king britt manning the beats and
mix....!!!!!!!!!!

the weather has been amazingly warm and nice for this late into november...out on the bike everyday...but today it's extremely windy and it rained all night...which freaks me out...thankfully no water in the studio this time but water in on the second floor...damn....called the roofguy again!....meanwhile, been recording lots and lots...new songs with ellie perez 'run4cover', and a collab w/ king britt as well ' la vida' which is extremely beautiful...ellie sounds amazing...continuing on tracks for my album....and starting tracks for the forthcoming 'sister gertrude' remix album w/ king britt for ropeadope...finished tracking for a collaboration with italian producer enrico mariana (2blue, duozero) bringing together a surprising collective of poets, musicians and artists from around the world...more news on this soon...as the audio files go flying around the globe in the post!!!!!gonna be the bomb....oh, a disaster!, my PC crashed this week - the hard drive was corrupted...it's wild when this happens...cause it's like losing a big chunk of your memory...lately i feel like i need to defrag my own mind as well...hopefully it'll all sort itself out...cheers!
