TIM MOTZER  &  MARKUS REUTER -DESCENDING (1k018) Reuter & Motzer's duo project of ambient improvisations, begun in 2008, taken from their Stars End broadcast; and studio recordings at 1k. Two years later, a series of stellar musos/friends were invited to interpret and contribute to the initial work. UK Alto flautist Theo Travis was the first to contribute to two tracks. BJ Cole generously added gorgeous melodic and textural pedal steel guitar to four tracks; KC/Stickmen's Pat Mastelotto laced in sublime electronics and glitch/clicks (during his impossibly hectic schedule), and, finally, drummer Doug Hirlinger painted and sprayed in spatial cymbal and metal work. A stunningly beautiful record. coming September 2010.
